Callie decided to bite the bullet and spoil her self a little, Well... A LOT!
After driving a few not so great cars through her school and college years, she decided that she should do something for herself.
I guess if your going to buy a BRAND NEW car you are sure you want it.
She test drove several cars and pretty much knew what she wanted and so when she was at that place ready to make it real, she called us down.
Kayla was with her, of course she was just as excited as Callie.
At this point even though she wanted advice, all we could say was, it's your money, if you can afford and you want it go for it! After all at this stage in your life, you can do what you want right? No one to answer to. No kids to worry about and there comes a time where it's not all about you.
I was proud of her for making the sales man sweat it out for a few hours while she did some negotiating. It was fun to hear her tell him , that just cuz she is a girl who is young, that she is not dumb and she drilled him and questioned everything he told her.
Her final request (since it was Christmas time) was to ask him if she bought it would they put a big Red Bow on it. He agreed.
Then...we left, no deal no commitment from her. We joked about how he was probably on the phone with his wife at one point telling her about his big fat cut of the sale, and then when we left he had to call her and break her heart.
The next day we went through the Costco car buying plan and saw what kind of a deal she could get through them. A dealer in Vegas could get her the same car, different color, for a few thousand less.
The poor guy up here had been calling her all day trying to make a sale.
At some point they agreed to match the deal in Vegas with a few other perks as well and of course the all important Red Bow!
