A Gramma day with Braxton

This year I decided to let Brodeyn come for his Gramma day first. He is little so, his brothers get to spend the night more than he does. When it came time for the other boys to come, I knew it would be trouble. Kash had been begging to come eveytime I had seen him, but he was the first one to come last year. Of course he doesn't remember that. Finally I told Jamie to let them draw out of a hat who was first. They needed to do it and see it, and that was the only fair way. Braxton won!
Braxton's day started out with Grandpa. I liked that because we call it "Gramma day" and yet Grandpa tries to be there with us for as much as possible. Grandpa picked Braxton up on his way home from working in New Castle and they went for a snow cone together. Brax loved it and I am so glad Jeff thought to do that with him.

The first thing he wanted to do was make lollipop cookies. We have made these before and they are a favorite with the grandkids esp. Braxton. Him and Callie had fun with the dough. Well they had fun eating the dough!

He is getting old enough that he wants to everything himself so I let him.

My Kitchen Aid has stripped gears. Basically you are at it's mercy. After you turn it on you have to move the speed up a little at a time and you never know when it's going to start.
Sooo...the result of that is flour Everywhere and a good laugh!

More dough...

That night we had KFC his favorite! He has always loved Chicken. When he was little he pronounced it "SHICKEN" so that has kind of stuck in our family.  He wanted the "shicken" with the guys face on it . After dinner Jeff and I took him to Despicable me 2. It was fun and a good laugh.

In the morning he woke up to his donut. I forgot to take pictures of him planting it.

We started coloring the dough and it was a mess. I had forgotten how I normally did it. Finally he reminded me of how we "usually" do it and it worked much better!

He chose four colors. Blue, green, orange and yellow. Then the fun began!

The results are cute and delicious! We took one to  George across the street. George was very impressed. Then we swam in his pool. Braxton is a really good swimmer. He can hold his breath under the water for 30 seconds! We timed him more than once.
That is crazy! The picture of him was blurry dang it!

The first day he wanted to play some games. He really wanted to play Battleship. He didn't quite get it so Callie teamed up with him for a few games. Then he figured it out and basically killed me. The second day we played again a few times. We also played Sorry and he won every time. We had a fun day. I really love the one on one time with the kids. I got to know him a little better and I think it meant a lot to both of us.
(Ignore the fact that I always put on comfy clothes at home)
