Hallowen Fun with the Christy's 10/2015

October in Logan

Waiting to see Holt again seemed like forever. He was only a little over a month old, so it's not like it had been very long.

Callie had to butt in and take her turn holding him of course Ha Ha

Grandpa has a turn too. Holt is a very smiley baby, and he was still young enough that he really didn't mind who was holding him, so he got passed around a lot.
We went to the Festival of Pumpkins while were there. It was kind of amazing! First of all it was free. It was in a huge park and so the size was pretty impressive. We just moved along in a line with about 409 million other people and looked at all the displays. The long path was lined with lit Jack O Lanterns, carved in a million different ways. There were little displays of on the sides every once in awhile.
One was sponsored by the Library, so it had Halloween characters displayed into a library scene. There were a ton of different varieties and various ideas. Like Harry Potter, the 3 little pigs etc. It was hard to take pictures while we were on the path, because we were trying to keep track of the kids. One of was holding Holt while the other 4 of us tried to keep Kenna on the path without touching everything. She thought it was wonderful! We finally ditched out off the path when we saw a breaking point. You can only follow along in a herd of people for so long. It wasn't too cold though, so that helped a lot.

We found a little place where they were putting on a puppet show. You would think the kids had never seen one before! Oh wait... probably because they haven't.
Not something super common these days, so they were in a trance.
Kenna kept scooting closer and closer till she was right in front of the stage and laughed and laughed the whole time. The show itself was corny and stupid, but the kids loved every second of it. I had to sit Kenna down several times, so she wasn't standing up in front of everyone. I felt bad because I kept telling her to sit down. Finally she sat down and then proceeded to scoot on her butt all the way to the front again.
Kudos to her for staying seated though,

They also had these cute little displays set up for the kids to take pictures.
Getting them all to stand still, look at us, and somewhat smile was really not going to happen, so we just plopped them back there behind a few of them and took some pictures anyway.

This was my favorite of the night. They all look cute and its a pretty cute pose.
I can't remember details of the whole trip. We had fun, and were glad we went up to spend a few days with them. I hate them being so far away, but it makes us appreciate the time we have together when we get it.
